Spas Slash Prices
By Julie D. Andrews
This summer, spas nationwide are offering incredible deals to help you beat the heat—and the recession. Here are 7 ways to get pampered on the cheap!
Oo-la-la spa. Convinced you can't afford the luxury? Think again! Summer is off-season at many of the country’s most exclusive destination spas. Plus, threats of recession and climbing everyday living costs mean bookings are down at both resorts and day spas in your area. Translation: big discounts for you.
“When talk of the “R” word started brewing, we saw a downturn in reservations,” says Brian Coombs, marketing director at family-owned Green Valley Spa in St. George, Utah. “So we took action. We're saying, ‘Look, we know money’s tight. That doesn't mean you have to deny yourself this balance and renewal.’”
On its website, Green Valley recently announced its first-ever "Bring Friends Free" special. Spas nationwide are offering similar savings. Use these tips to cash in on the best deals going.
